Jadon Stoner: RHP/3B, (2022) Floyd Central, IN. 6-foot-3, 190-pound projectable frame. At the plate, the left-handed hitter showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 89 mph. Track Man Exit Velo 89.97. Begins in a balanced stance with a wrapping load, then uses Short swing stride to initiate his swing. Had Level swing plane and had high finish. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 81 mph; had soft hands. Used a high slot with a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.25. Athletic on the mound, uses Short swing arm action with a arm angle. drop-and-drive type pitcher. Displayed a recoil finish Changeup (68-69 mph).Produced a fastball that came in at 80-82 mph and topped out at 82 mph; had running action. Has some command on his 11/5 curveball (63-66).
2/23/2019: Jadon Stoner, RHP/1B, Floyd Central HS, 2022, 6 foot 2, 185 pounds, is a big bodied right hander who throws from a mid slot and a long arm action. Fastball is straight and sat 77-80. CH is a good pitch with some arm side fade and sat 69-71. CB backed up with 11/5 short shape and sat 62-63. Stands tall in the box on the left side and uses small weight shift to load. Strides closed and cuts lower half off, although he has fast hands. Better stride direction will help him use his lower half and clean up his path to the middle of the field. His physical presence is intriguing in the box and had an exit velo of 83 mph.
2/17/18: 6-foot-1, 160 pound pitcher has a tilt to topple delivery. Long arm action into a high 3/4 slot. Lower half stays in line, lands squared. Shoulders uphill. Fastball sat 70-71, touching 72 for strikes. Breaking ball has gradual, early break in an 11/5 shape. Flashed a few with good depth. Change-up was 64-65 with near fastball arm speed. Left-handed hitter has a balanced, slightly open setup. Hands preset in load. Short stride. Average bat speed. Partial rotation of lower half. High exit velocity of 76 in an uphill plane. Defensively, footwork is flat with clean transfer. Throws topped 67 across the infield with accuracy.
