3/29/17 Game Notes: 6-foot 205 pound unsigned senior catcher displayed pop times between 2.02-2.06 on Wednesday night.  Arm is quick, strong.  Showcased ability to throw behind runners including a back pick to first base for an out.  Hands are hard with improvement needed on receiving.  Has the athleticism.  At the plate, setup is balanced with a back hand load and slight leg kick used as a timing trigger.  Produced hard contact twice against quality arms.  Bat speed is fast with ability to get into both gaps.  Finished the day with two hits and an RBI.

10/9/16:  The 6-foot 195 pound catcher has an athletic frame and pop at the plate.  McGowan has fast bat speed with the gap-to-gap power.  Very comfortable in the box.  Path is direct with extension post-contact.  Defensively, footwork is fluid with a quick transfer.  He also ran a 7.44 60yd dash.

6/21/16: The 6-foot, 195 pound catcher showcased fast hands and gap to gap power.  Bat path is level with extension.  Exit velocity topped at 91.  Behind the plate, Jett has quick feet and a fast transfer.  Arm strength is above average.  Pop times ranged between 2.01-2.05.
