2/22/14: 5-foot-11, 175 pound Junior has ran a 6.96 60 in a previous PBR showcase.  Martin possesses good athleticism with good actions defensively.  Feet are fluid and plays through the baseball with athleticism.  Showcased good arm strength at 84 mph with carry.  At the plate gets to extension producing good barrel whip.   Possesses above average bat speed and consistently barrels up the baseball. On the mound pitches from a 3/4 slot.  Shows good rhythm in the delivery.  Fastball topped out at 84.  Breaking ball shows a slurvey type action at 70-73.  Changeup was 72-75 with arm side run.  Repeats his delivery.

2/23/13:
5-foot-10, 165 pound sophomore uses a long arm action and throws over the top at 84 mph with some accuracy.  Plays through the ball well with an above average glove.  At the plate uses a balanced set up with a smooth load.  Uses his lower half well and displays good balance.  Possesses quick bat speed with a short, level path to the baseball.  Gets to extension making hard contact.  Shows good bat control and projects to be a 2-hole type hitter.

While Martin might project more as a hitter, he is more than capable of being a very good pitcher. He is athletic throughout, and despite being 5-foot-10 still created angle with his fastball at 81-83. Works from a high ¾ with a repeatable delivery. His breaking ball is 11/5 with late life down at 66-67, while his change-up has arm side run. All three pitches were around the plate. Martin is a follow at both positions.
