2/17/18:  5-foot-11, 175 pound infielder has above average hands with clean transfer.  Plays through the ball.  Heavy feet.  Throws were accurate, topping 81 across.  Hits from a balanced setup with average bat speed.  Uphill path to contact, pull side approach.  Partial use of lower half.  High exit velocity of 81mph.  On the mound, delivery has some rhythm and effort.  Overtop slot, stab on the backside.  Average arm speed with a fastball sitting 81-82, touching 83.  Commands the fastball.  Breaking ball has 12/6 shape with gradual break.  Missed down often.  Change-up features arm side run.  Reed ran a 7.78 60 yard dash.

 
10/15/17:  5-foot-10, 160 pound right-handed pitcher sat 78-79, touching 80 with a commanded fastball.  Deliberate pace, low leg kick.  Good balance and rhythm.  Repeatable delivery.  Lands soft, finishes off to first base side.  Breaking ball has downer action, sitting 66-69.  Slider has more 10/4 shape with sweeping action.   Infielder possesses above average glove work with clean transfer.  Accurate throws topped 75 across the infield.  Right-handed hitter has an open setup with slight leg kick.  Smooth load.  Long, slightly uphill path to contact.  High exit velocity of 82mph.  Ran a 7.8 60 yard dash.

 
6/13/17:  5-foot-9, 160 pound infielder hits from a balanced setup with extension after contact.  Loads back, balanced swing.  Level path, average bat speed.  High exit velocity of 80mph.  Fields with flat footwork and quick transfer to release.  Long arm action, accurate throws topping at 72mph.  

2/26/17:  The 5-foot-9, 160 pound infielder has above average bat speed from the right side.  Hits from a tall, slightly open setup and a toe tap into a long stride.  Hands load back, arms straighten out.  Keeps hands inside the ball and gets to extension post-contact.  Gets on plane well.  Top exit velocity of 80mph.  Defensively, above average hands with a quick transfer.  Long arm action and footwork.  Moves through the ball well.  Throws topped at 76mph across the infield.  On the mound, the right-hander has smooth rhythm down the hill.  Overtop arm action, slight stab on the backside.  Quick arm speed for age.  Finishes with intent.  Lower half can be stiff at times.  Fastball sat 78-79, touched 81 with some arm side run.  Curveball was 69-72 with downer action.  

3/14/15: As an 8^th grader, Justin possesses good actions on the mound.  His arm speed is above average with an athletic delivery.  Justin drops and drives to the plate with a long high ¾ arm slot.  His fastball was heavy and was thrown for strikes at 69mph.  Curveball had an 11/5 shape with gradual break at 56mph.  Justin’s change-up was thrown near FB arm speed and stayed straight.  He will need to work on the change-up as he matures on the mound.    At the plate, he has a balanced setup and loads back.  Hands were average as he sprayed the ball.  His lower half was stiff and will need improvement over time.  Defensively, his feet were fluid but exchange was long.  Justin’ plays through the ball well and made accurate throws.  He ran an 8.36 60yd dash.
