5-foot-8, 165-pound SS/2B. Offensively, the right-handed hitters top exit velocity was 88 mph. Begins in a crouched stance with a smooth load. Leg kick timing trigger. He has quick bat speed, a short swing path and a high finish. In the infield, he showcased arm strength with throws across the diamond topping at 87 mph. He showed consistent accuracy to the base with from a high ¾ slot and a short arm action. Defensively, he displayed a clean exchange, rhythmicfootwork and sure hands. In the 60-yard dash, he recorded a time of 7.25. 

5-foot-8, 165-pound SS / 2B with a sub-seven 60 time. At the plate, starts with weight on his back foot, knees bent, hands high and elbows in. Uses start-and-stop movements in his body for timing; has a straight to the ball swing plane and a short inside-out swing; 86 mph exit velocity. During batting practice, showed ability to barrel up balls and stay inside. Showed athletic movements and quick feet in the field; sometimes fields balls deep; short arm action across the diamond; 85 mph position velocity.

2/16/2019: Manuel Lopez, SS/2B, Northrop HS, 2020, 5 foot 8, 165 pounds, uses a leg kick to load, takes hands back early and carries them forward with a lengthy stride. Has good barrel position and hits consistent line drives with a flat path and good extension. Had an exit velo of 85 mph, and also ran a 7.27 60 yard dash. Manuel moves well defensively and throws well with a good release and short infield arm action, and he threw 85 mph across the diamond.

9/23/18: Smaller framed 2020 MIF. Hits from the right side. Crouched setup in the box. Weight transfer back then explodes forward. Showed quick bat with line drive ability. Looks like a top of the order type bat. Posted an exit velo of 84. In the field showed twitchy actions with feel for the SS positions, soft hands and good footwork. Accurate throws across the diamond at 85. Interesting 2020 to follow.
