6/12/18: 6’2 2019 athletic two way prospect out of Crown Point. At the plate hits from the right side tall athletic setup. Short stride to the baseball, with an uphill bat path through the zone. Showed off line drive ability to the gaps. Some stiffness in swing at times. In the field showed easy actions and footwork with an above average arm across the diamond at 92 which could keep him on the left side of the INF. On the mound showed good projection. Pitches from high ¾ arm slot. Arm action is loose and long but a quick arm stroke. Good tempo to the plate and repeats well, finishes downhill in athletic position. FB sat 83-85 T88 with some life. Also mixed in 11/5 shape CB with late bite and some depth at 69-73 for strikes. Interesting 2019 prospect to keep an eye on.
4/28/18:Uncommitted, ranked No. 26 in Indiana's 2019 class rankings. Slender 6-root-2, 160 pound frame, pitches from a high 3/4 slot with above average arm speed. Shows rhythm in the delivery. Against St. Xavier (Kentucky HS No. 1 ranked team) pitched five innings scattering three hits, allowing one run, three walks with four strikeouts.  Fastball sat 85-86 in the first and 85-87 in the second, with one fastball at 89 for a strike.  After the second settled in at 83-85.  Breaking ball ranged anywhere from 71-77.  At 71-74 it shows 11/5 break with downhill rotation, consistently in the zone; several swing and misses and called strikes.  At 75-77 shows more of a slider type action.  Changeup shows arm side run with occasional depth at 75-76.  Threw 87 pitches, 52 for strikes.
2/18/18:  6-foot-2, 160 pound pitcher showcased improved velocity on the mound, getting his fastball up to 86-87, touching 88.  Smooth rhythm, drop and drive delivery.  High 3/4 slot with arm speed.  Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with consistent downhill rotation.  Able to throw it for a strike at 73-74.  Change-up has arm side run and some depth.  
Defensively, Bauner was up to 91 across the infield.  Sure hands with long actions.  Plays through the ball with clean transfer into long arm swing.  Hits from a tall, open setup.  Rhythm in load.  Average bat speed, level path to contact.  Partial use of lower half.  Contact hitter with ability to spray the ball.  Ran a 7.66 60 yard dash.
7/3/17: 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed pitcher, lean athletic frame, projectable build. Athletic delivery, finishes to first base side, well above average pitchability for age, fills up the strike zone. Arm works clean and easy, high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 81-83 mph, touched 84 mph. Curveball had sharp 11/5 action, swing and miss bite, 73-74 mph. Upside arm with feel for the mound and advanced secondary.

6/13/17:  6-foot-2, 170 pound wiry shortstop has smooth hands with athletic movements up the middle.  Accurate throws across the infield topping at 85.  Short, loose arm action.  Hits from a balanced setup with fluid load.  Hands load back, with a short, heavy stride.  Compact swing with slightly uphill path.  Line drive approach.  Top exit velocity of 83.  On the mound, delivery has rhythm and easy effort.  Clean arm swing, high 3/4 release.  Fastball sat 78-82 with run.  Curveball sat 67-68 with 11/5 shape.  Aggressive in the strike zone.  Athletic two-way player. 

1/28/17 - 6-foot-1, 160 pound, lanky, lean frame.  Works at a quick pace with some rhythm, uphill shoulders.  Works across his body.  Short, high ¾ arm action with above average arm speed.  Fastball is thrown for a strike at 81-82.  Sweeping breaking ball at 64-66; shortens arm action when throwing it. Tendency to slow his arm down while throwing the changeup.  Changeup has some sink and kept in the zone at 68-71. . Right-handed hitting middle infielder.  Offensively, showcased quick, loose hands.  Front arm bar during the load, over rotates the lower half.  Good balance.  Above average bat speed.  Advanced approach. Long, level swing plane, gets to extension.  Registered a high exit velocity of 84 mph.  Defensively, long, high ¾ arm action, throws clocked at 81 mph.  Takes good angles, fields the ball out front.  Athletic fielder.  7.90 runner in the laser time 60.
