6-foot, 175-pound RHP / SS. At the plate, starts with his feet even; has a big load in his hands; uses leg kick to try and generate more power. Has a straight to the ball swing plane; tends to be off balance at the end of his swing; 83 mph exit velocity. In the field, glove works when he gets in good position; 3/4 arm action; makes accurate throws; 80 mph position velocity. On the mound, pitches from the stretch; hides the ball behind his body during delivery; 3/4 arm action; has very good depth low in the zone; shows ability to locate ball on both sides of the plate. CB pops out of hand but is accurate; 63-66 mph CB; 79-80 mph FB; 72-73 mph CH. Throws all pitches for strikes. Recorded a 60 time of 7.64.
9/24/17: 5-foot-10, 145 pound pitcher sat 70-71, touching 72 with a fastball showing slight arm side run. Early separation in timing, arm tends to trail. Throws from a 3/4 slot with average wrist speed. Some effort down the mound. Lower half needs refined as he matures. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with inconsistent break. Change-up showed flashes of late fade. He hits from an open setup with slight leg kick in load. Average balance and use of lower half. Short, compact swing with a line drive approach. Average bat speed. Defensively, works through the ball with fluid footwork and clean exchange. Throws topped at 74mph across the infield.
