6/25/14: 5 foot-11 inches/172 pounds, Repeatable delivery and paints corners. Short. Quick ¾ arm slot, fastball is 85-87 mph with heavy downhill plain and in the strike zone, Slider is 73mph and has late break, changeup is a plus pitch with good sink at 77-78 mph.

2/22/14: PITCHING: Bettcher is athletic with an undersized frame at 5-foot-11, 172 pounds. At the event was up to 87 with the fastball and sat 84-86. He throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a loose arm action and repeats his delivery. He showed an ability to keep his 67-69 mph breaking ball down in the zone. His changeup sat 76-78 with some arm-side run. Bettcher is one of the top left handed arms uncommitted in Indiana's 2015 class. Ran a 6.68 60 at the event.  From the OF showcased a loose arm that was 87 mph with carry.  Showcased quick feet and athleticism defensively.  At the plate the LHH uses a toe tap for timing.  Lower half needs refined.  Swing plane is level producing hard line drives.  Projects more on the mound.
