(‘24, Forest Park) In what was Forest Park's first game of the season, Stout would take the ball to start the season and quite literally run with it. Stout would go 5 innings of no run baseball, needing only 56 pitches to do so. Stout appeared to be using very little effort as he sat in the low to mid 80s with pinpoint control. The Southern Indiana commit popped multiple 88s in big situations. The Rangers starter produced mainly weak ground balls, although he did have 5 Ks. Look for the average velo to gradually go up throughout the season for Stout.

Position Profile: OF/RHP 
Body: 6-3, 170-pounds. Wiry, athletic build
Delivery: Slight drop and drive delivery. Gets to a moderate balance point and moves down the slope with intent. In-line shoulder, square landing, athletic finish.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose, and clean arm that works from a H 3/4 slot - major upside on the mound
FB: T88, 86-88 mph. Serious life but tends to be erratic T2528, 2455 average rpm.
SL: 78-80 mph. Sharp, late break T3065, 2869 average rpm.
CH: 77-81 mph. Some ASR T1492, 1408 average rpm.

Delivery: Smooth tempo throughout the delivery. Tall balance point with a square landing. Athletic finish
Arm Action: RH. Long, clean arm swing that generates good whip out front from a high 3/4 slot
FB: T87, 85-87 mph. Inconsistent command T2678, 2498 average rpm.
SL: 74-76 mph. Tight, sharp with some depth T2919, 2671 average rpm.
CH: 74-76 mph. Slight run to the armside T1288, 1235 average rpm.

Hits: RHH. Open stance. Coils around the back hip with minimal movements in the upper half. Quick turn of the barrel. Short path with a high finish
Power: 87 max exit velocity, averaged 81.9 MPH. 301' max distance.
Arm: RH. Quick, uninterrupted arm swing from a high 3/4 slot.
Defense: Athletic footwork. Works downhill with sure hands
Run: 7.34 runner in the 60.
