9/13/20

At 6-foot-1, 180 pounds, Louisville commit Tucker Biven showed why he was a big riser in the updated class of 2022 rankings at this weekend's PBR Midwest Fall Championships. The athletically talented two-way prospect was 7-16 on the weekend with a 2B, 3B and 5R scored. Though he didn't have his best stuff Sunday night, Biven was up to 93 and showed tremendous upside with his electric arm speed with a swing and miss slider.

9/13/19

+ Louisville commit, Tucker Biven (New Albany HS, IN), was standing out all weekend as an infielder and on Sunday he showed the potential to be a high-level two-way prospect thanks to his ability on the mound. The athletically-built, high-waisted, 6-foot-1, 170-pound, right-hander started for the Midwest Canes and opened eyes when the first pitch out of his hand was 91 mph. Biven proceeded to control the zone behind a fastball that sat anywhere from 85-88 mph and had feel for a short, late breaking 11/5 curveball. Biven’s arm is highly-athletic and quick with seemingly much more velocity to come down the road.

6/12/18

Athletic 2022 MIF prospect who stood out at the event. Nice frame for age. Hits from right side tall athletic setup in box, uses leg lift as trigger. Showed above average bat speed for age. Drove the baseball to deep parts of the field during whole round of BP showing off power potential and gap to gap ability. In the field showed above average feel and actions up the middle for age. Has soft hands, quick exchange and good footwork. Above average arm for age across diamond. ** committed to Louisville shortly after event.
