Miami (OH) recruit. Tall, lean, body frame that has room to fill out. Has chance in future to hold more weight and strength to his body. Feel he is still maturing physically. Starts from the far right side of rubber with slight crossfire stride to landing. ¾ arm slot and with good extension out front with arm. Hands and glove start in front of his face and chest. Has slight sit on back leg start with a gaited leg kick that will tend to cling to back side on his quarter turn set up. When he gets his timing to his delivery, his arm works well out front and he gets down action and good angle to his pitches. Relies a lot on his slider that has a good tilt and break in zone that is tough on hitters. FB has natural tail to it. Can pitch up in zone with his tail action. Tends to gets a slight stand up and pop up finish to his delivery. Has good deception to his pitches that are just scaling the point of more consistency and when he reaches this as spring rolls along will be tough to compete against. Shows good confidence and good demeanor as a senior leader on his team. FB 83-86 averaged 84. Sl 70-72. CH 74-76 tail action. Competed well. Repeated well.
