Easy actions with the stick, hand load and stride stay connected to separate, strong lover half, hips stay under throughout. Top half gets pull happy at times, spins quickly to swing. Drove baseballs middle pull side with good extension and lift. Physical bat. Behind the plate, bulky and tall setup to throw, arm works low ¾, arm side run, rotational and tall to throw. Feet and lower half work athletic, has some arm strength, pop times 2.0-2.05. Quiet, strong glove to catch.
2/26/17: The 6-foot-1, 173 pound catcher has a balanced setup with some rhythm in the box. Bat path is long with average bat speed. Rotational swing. Exit velocity topped at 83. At catcher, feet are above average with a clean transfer. Dives forward at times. Upright, stiff setup. Throws topped at 74 producing pop times ranging between 2.25-2.28.
