Uncommitted 2022 OF with a lean, thin, wiry frame. Strong shoulders and has room to fill out. Slight pre-set load to start swing process. Leans back on his back leg in a sit and crouch, his hands at times show good bat speed and hard contact. Front hips flares open and causes hands to cast out slightly. Line drive hitter with some strength to barrel. As a defender he has good footwork and speed to help range as an OF. Arm works and throws are accurate; hitting his target consistently. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Clodfelter has athletic actions with loose hands and a swing to compete. Will excel as an OF at the next level as he continues to improve.
5-foot-7, 135-pound athletic frame; 2B/OF. At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 76 mph. Begins in a athletic stance with a quick load, then uses a toe tap to initiate his swing. Average bat speed with a line drive approach. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 70 mph; had athletic footwork, twitchy hands and a clean exchange. Movements laterally were athletic while he fields the ball out front. From a ¾ slot, he showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a loose arm action. He performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.85.
