+ RHP Luke Haley, Homestead: Haley went six innings in my look against one of the state’s top lineups, allowing eight hits, two walks, and three earned runs while striking out three. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder works to a moderate balance point with an inward turn into a simple move down the slope; the front hip will open early at times. The arm works clean on the backside with present arm speed. The fastball played at 85–88 mph early before settling into the 84–86 mph range. He mixed a 74–77 mph slider with sweep and occasional depth, flashing sharper movement at times. The 81–83 mph cutter played well off the slider and is a solid offering in the arsenal. Haley rounded out the four-pitch mix with a sinking 78–81 mph changeup, showing solid feel for it. Overall, I liked the four shapes from the young-for-class righty and his ability to compete in and around the zone.

Broad-shouldered, 6-foot-2, 190-pounder who pitched at 89-90 with arm action that should allow for further velocity jumps. The fastball properties are a bit pedestrian at present, but the addition of a 86-88 mph CT should go a long way for him and he was able to control that pitch to the glove-side with late action. His 85-87 mph sinking change works in a similiar fashion, providing a fastball look before falling off the table late. The bat-misser for Luke is his 79-80 mph slider, a pitch that spun in the 27-2800 range with sharp glove-side sweep and some depth as well. There is some reliever risk with the rotational nature of the delivery, but the ability to create four shapes with velocity that will play at the next level makes him one of the top uncommitted arms in the class.

Luke Haley is a 2027 RHP/3B with a physical 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame and two-way upside. On the mound, Haley works exclusively from the stretch with a balanced, methodical lift and a short stride that lands soft. He flashes above average arm speed from a longer, full arm action and showed a fastball at 83 mph (T83) with arm-side run and 2066 avg rpm. His 74–75 mph curveball is a potential wipeout pitch with sharp two-plane break (T2609 rpm), while his 78–79 mph changeup features heavy pronation and arm-side movement. Offensively, the right-handed hitter generates bat speed from a short stride and separated load, producing a downhill swing path with power—topping at 98 mph exit velocity with a 91.1 mph average. Hit: RHH. Starts in a relaxed, upright stance. Quick leg stride on load. Hands load back off shoulders, gets good separation. Bat path is direct to the ball. Quick hand speed, stays inside the baseball. Good extention through contact. 73.7 mph bat speed with 17 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 77.1 mph. 324' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-76 mph. Loose arm action from multiple arm slots.
Defense: Footwork is under control, good lateral movement. Reads hops well. Soft hands, quick transfers.
