2/12/17 - Brautman is a 6-foot-1 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Brautman ran a 7.18 laser timed 60 and a 4.38 home to first.  He has a 92 mph exit velo with a strong and physical build.  At the plate, free and easy swing, aggressive, simple movements, repeatable, loose and quick hands, power to the pull side with consistent contact gap-to-gap.  On the infield, 87 mph positional velo, loose high three quarter release, athletic footwork, fields the ball in position ready to throw, quick transfer, momentum after the catch, accurate throws. On the mound, Brautman has a quick arm and an strong frame, repeats delivery, loose arm action, high three quarters slot, athletic delivery, accelerates down the mound, throws with some effort, high percentage of strikes with all pitches, fastball at 84-85 mph, slight late run, curveball at 72-77 mph, 11-to-5 action, starts same plane as fastball, late break, change up at 76-76 mph, above average fading action, showed a slider at 76-78 mph, 10-to-4 action, good pitch when down in the zone.

1/21/17 - Brautman was 83-86 mph with his fastball, featured a curveball at 72-76 mph, gradual 11-to-5 action, and a change up at 75-76 mph, lean frame, high three quarters slot, throws with some effort, down hill plane.
