At the plate, easy swing, accelerated bat speed, smooth rhythm in stance, minimal load, level and quick bat path, gap-to-gap approach, pull side power.  In the outfield, 83 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, aggressive crow hop, quick to the ball with quick exchange, accurate throws, strong build.  In game action, collected a pair of singles and doubled to right center field.

6/14/16 - Young is a 5-foot-10 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.14 60 and a 4.26 home-to-first, one of the tops among LHH.  He has an 82 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, leg kick, smooth load, level path, pull side power, quick bat speed, aggressive swing, consistent solid contact during batting practice.  In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, clean catch and throw, fluid footwork, moves well to the ball, throws had carry at times and were mostly accurate, physical player in the 2019 class.

5/31/16 - Young is a 5-foot-10 175-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.00 60, one of the top for the event, and posted an 83 mph exit velo. At the plate, repeats swing, quick bat speed, loose hands, tall stance, controlled leg lift with inline stride, gap-to-gap approach, power to pull side.  In the outfield, high three quarters release, somewhat accurate throws, loose arm action, quick catch and throw, 79 mph positional velo.
