2/12/17 - Leathers is a 5-foot-10 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.65 laser timed 60 and a 4.57 home to first.  He has an 84 mph exit velo. At the plate, Leathers uses both gaps, consistent solid contact with little wasted movement in load, balanced set up with rocking motion to load, showed some feel for the barrel.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.09 and 2.33-seconds, 72 mph positional velo, pop times and velo among the best for the event,  over the top release, hands and feet in sync, fluid and clean exchange, mostly accurate throws, moves well to block.

11/1/15 - Leathers is a 5-foot-9 170-pound right-handed hitting catcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  Leathers ran a 7.31 and 4.83 home-to-first.  Offensively, balanced stance, used leg kick to generate power, mostly pull side during batting practice, short and quick path, fast hands, 81 mph exit velo.  Defensively, pop times between 2.06 and 2.15, 72 mph positional velo, one of top pop times and velos for the event,  quick exchange and release, throws have carry to the bag, mostly accurate.

10/19/14 - Leathers is a 5-foot-9, 158-pound right-hand hitting catcher. Balanced set-up at the plate, slightly open stance, short inline stride, minimal hand load, upper half dominant. Middle of the field line drive approach. Exit velocity high of 76 mph. In the games notched three hits in four plate appearances including two doubles to left field. Behind the plate showed a short over-the-top throwing motion, throwing velocity of 70 mph and pop times in the 2.02-2.12 range. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash and 4.82 home-to-first.
