2/21/15 - Powell is a lean 6-foot 165-pound LHP/OF in Kansas’ 2016 class. Bats right, throws left. At the plate, open, athletic stance, level path, middle approach, balanced finish, 81 mph exit velo, 4.69 home-to-first.  In the outfield, loose over-the-top arm action, crow hop, plays thru the ball, 76 mph positional velo. On the mound, Powell has a clean/easy arm action, controlled tempo during delivery, stays in-line, athletic finish, over-the-top release, fastball at 75-78 mph, has two-seam with slight run, 12-to-6 curveball, down in zone, 67-70 mph, chang up at 64-71 mph. 

6/18/14 - Powell is a 6-foot, 165-pound right-hand hitting outfielder.  In defensive drill work in the outfield he made clean exchanges and threw from a three-quarters arm slot.  His top throw was clocked at 72 mph.  At the plate, he has a tall set-up and open stance.  He has fluid load and strides slightly open.  Powell has a middle of the field approach, maintains balance throughout and finishes with extension.  His exit velocity was 81 mph.  He ran a 4.97 home-to-1B.

6/18/14 - Powell is a 6-foot, 165-pound left-handed pitcher.  He has a deliberate tempo early and works to a strong balance point.  He drops his shoulders as he begins to throw creating some deception before throwing from a three-quarters arm slot.  His fastball was clocked from 67-79 mph and also showed a 53-55 curveball and 61-62 change-up.
