1/28/17 - Farmer is a 5-foot-9 140-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.40 laser timed 60 and a 4.96 home to first.  He has an exit velo of 77 mph and has a slender frame. At the plate, starts loaded in back leg, some hand load with rhythm, slightly closed off stride, loose hands, swing produced middle to opposite field line drives during batting practice.  In the outfield, quick catch and throw, accurate thrower, works behind the ball and through the catch, short arm circle with over the top release, 71 mph positional velo. On the mound, Farmer has a controlled leg lift with an over the top arm slot, in line stride down the mound, fastball at 68-71 mph, repeats and shows command, curveball 1-to-7 shape, finds bottom of zone, early break, 56-59 mph, change up with near fastball arm speed, 61-63 mph, some with arm side release.
10/23/16 - Farmer is a 5-foot-9 left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.30 60 and a 4.59 home-to-first.  He has a 65 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, smooth load in lower half, minimal hand movement, flashed pop to pull side in batting practice.  In the outfield, 73 mph positional velo, short high three-quarters release, fluid catch and throw working through the ball, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Farmer is a strike thrower, only four of twenty pitchers were balls, created soft contact, allowed one hit and struck out one during outing, heavy fastball works 67-70 mph consistently down in the zone, 1-to-7 shape breaking ball, 58-61 mph, shows signs of being a good pitch as he develops, lean frame with loose arm action, capable of adding strength to already clean delivery.
