6-foot-3, 210-pound RHP (2019, North Oldham HS) showed a jump in velocity at the Border Battle when he worked two effective innings with three strikeouts. Doyle's fastball sat 84-86 mph with tilt from an over the top arm slot. His curveball, though slower at 62-64, showed depth and he pounded the zone with the pitch. The 20+ MPH velocity difference between the two pitches seemed to lock hitters up as he recorded two of the strikeouts looking on the curveball. Doyle also showed good feel for his 71-74 mph changeup which he used to record a swinging strikeout.
7/5/16 - Home-1st: 4.97, Position Velocity: IF-80, Exit Velocity: 84
6-foot-1, 180-pound LHH showed improved measurables across the board from last fall. Hits from a slightly open stance, controlled load on back side, gets foot down and looks to drive the baseball, fluid swing with a pull approach, flashed good power potential, good bat speed with some hand quickness, went 1-for-3 in game play. Shows soft defensive hands, average movement around the bag, good arm strength with accurate throws. Doyle is definitely a left-handed bat to keep a close eye on.
7/5/16 - Max FB: 82, FB: 78-81, CB: 60-61, CH: 62
6-foot-1, 180-pound RHP has shown an increase in velocity at each event. Works through a high-3/4 slot with a loose arm action and good rhythm in delivery, good direction to the plate, regular effort in delivery, strike thrower, fastball shows occasional arm-side run and sink, showed a slow curveball that can be flat at times and needs some development, flashed one changeup with some fade, allowed four hits and struck out one (fastball swinging) in two innings of work.
9/20/15: 6-foot, 170 pounder pitches from a high ¾ slot with a long arm action. Easy effort with smooth rhythm in the delivery. Good direction to the plate. Fastball has occasional run at 75-77 and thrown for a strike. Breaking ball has an 11/5 shape with gradual break at 61-63. Changeup was 68.
