5-foot-11, 180-pound, RHH hits from a slightly open stance, uses a leg kick and short stride to get square, engages lower half well and has a solid and repeatable swing path, has ability to drive the ball to the gaps, went 0-for-3 in game play. Moves fluidly around his SS position, good hands and arm strength from a high-3/4 release, shows good body control and ability to throw accurately on the move. One of the top SS in the 2018 class.

5-foot-11, 180-pound RHP features a quick arm that works through a high-3/4 slot with shorter arm action, works quickly and pounds the zone with a compact delivery, fastball appears to get on hitters quickly, curveball is solid with late 11/5 action and depth, throws a lot of strikes with both pitches, allowed two hits and struck out three (2 FB, 1 CB) in two innings of work.

1/24/16 - 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitter continues to progress as one of the top 2018 prospects in the state. Hits from a slightly open stance, a leg kick and short stride initiate the swing, good use of lower half and quick hands generate good bat speed, short swing path with good extension through contact, ball jumps off the barrel with good gap to gap power, 84 mph exit velocity off the tee, ran 4.76 down the line. Moves fluidly with athletic defensive actions, soft hands, good body control with ability to throw accurately on the move, showed an increase in arm strength at 83 mph across the infield with mostly accurate throws.

As a pithcher, continues to make a jump in velocity, arm is quick and works through a high-3/4 to over the top arm a lot, fastball showed occasional arm-side run and is thrown for strikes at the bottom of the zone, solid 12/6 action on curveball with good feel for the pitch, has good feel for a very solid changeup with good deception. Melton continues to evolve into a top 2018 prospect.

6/29/15 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-handed hitter hits from a balanced stance with a short stride and good overall balance, short swing path with good extension through contact, line drive type hitter with a good approach at the plate, 75 mph exit velocity, ran a 7.44 60-yard dash, went 2-for-3 in game play with a single to right field. Shows soft hands defensively with a quick exchange and works through the baseball well, good arm strength with accurate throws, 81 mph velocity across the infield, good body control, a 2018 MIF to keep a close eye on. As a pitcher, shows some quickness in arm and works through an over the top arm slot, fastball sat 78-79 mph topping at 81 and is straight, curveball ranged from 63-68 mph with 12/6 action and some depth, throw consistent strikes, allowed four singles and one walk in his outing, retired the side in order in his second inning of work, has above average velocity for age with potential to add more in the near future.
