6/17/14 - 6-foot-7, 190-pound prospect long and lanky frame and room to fill in, uses long arm action through a ¾ to high ¾ arm slot, delivery is easy and ball jumps out of hand, fastball sat 84-86 touching 88 once, fastball has good arm-side run with late sink, struggled to command 62 mph curveball with soft 11/5 action, throws a 71-73 mph slider with late break, showed a 70 mph changeup , allowed two singles and struck out two of the 10 batters he faced, very high ceiling for Currie who still shows quite a bit of rawness in delivery, but there is undoubtedly potential for more velocity when he gets more consistent use from his lower half, high-level 2016 prospect with big upside.
8/25/13 - 6-foot-6, 175-pound prospect with long/lanky build, big projectability on mound, uses long and loose arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, fastball sat 82-84 mph with occasional arm-side run, struggled to find curveball early but got much better as outing progressed, curveball showed 11/5 action at 64-68 mph, changeup is fairly straight at 75-76 mph, potential high-level pitching prospect with continued development of secondary pitches, would expect to see continued velocity gains in the near future.
10/9/2018: Louisville transfer. 6-foot-7, 190-pounds, lean, lanky frame, right-handed pitcher. Long arm action, accelerates quickly out front, ¾ slot, lands toe closed. Methodical delivery, easy effort. Pitched primarily to glove-side. Fastball sat 86-88, located low in the zone. Curveball, 11/5 shape, 72-73. Changeup, fade action, likes to go-to, 73-75.
9/23/18 - At 6-foot-7, 190 pounds, the Louisville transfer has a long, lean frame with more room to fill out. The long levers do not always sync up to extension, but when he gets out in front the 87-89 mph fastball showed more life. The arm works fairly clean, but overall the frame and potential will make him an interesting arm to follow.
