Quigley

Quigley is an athletic 5-foot-9, 150 pound left-handed hitting two-way prospect. He hits out of a wide stance, with the hands set low. A toe tap begins the swing that works through the hitting zone on a flat, direct path. The lower half is active and his bat to ball skills are evident. The young infielder made a lot of solid contact, yielding an exit velocity of 78 MPH.

Defensively, Quiqley is athletic in the middle of the diamond. He showed a velocity of 80 MPH on his throws across the diamond with good actions. The feet move well as he works through the ground ball. His hands are soft transitioning into the throwing position and creates a direct line with his target. He finishes nicely through the play, maintaining a good line with the target.

On the mound, Quigley works primarily out of the stretch. He gets to a good balance point and separates into a quick, lower ¾ arm-slot. The fastball sits 77-79 MPH with arm-side run. He leans a bit toward the first base side as he works down the mound, causing him to miss high, to the arm side on occasion. Quigley also features a breaking ball that sits 68-70 MPH with a bigger break and a change-up at 74-76 MPH that shows the same action as the fastball.

Quigley is an impressive young prospect. He shows athleticism in the infield, a projectable swing from the left side and pitchability on the mound.
