Bat speed was above average, showed an uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up lots of balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Athletic in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 83 mph; had consistent footwork, sure hands, and a clean exchange. Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball out front. Using a loose arm action, showed consistent accuracy to the bag from a high ¾ slot. Jayden LaFleur: OF/RHP, (2022) out of Dighton-Rehobeth, MA. is a 6-foot-1, 199-pound two-way prospect. In the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 93 MPH. LaFleur starts in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands relaxed. The load is smooth and uses a short stride to trigger a short swing with good extension. The ball jumped off his bat and sprayed the ball gap to gap. In the outfield, he was 86 MPH on his throws. As he worked through the ground balls, he showed smooth feet, a clean exchange, and sure hands. He also had a time of 7.5 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, LaFleur uses a simple, controlled delivery to get balance at the top. He separates well, using a low ¾ arm slot to produce a fastball that sat 78-79 MPH with heavy sinking action. He also showed a changeup (70-72 MPH) with sinking action and a slider (66-67 MPH) with slurvey action.

Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. Athletic on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a consistent arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Balance is tall point with an in line shoulders in his delivery. Lands square with an athletic finish. Showed running action and command around the zone. His curveball had sweeping action and around the zone control. Has a tight changeup that shows sinking action and very consistent command.

Defense:  (OF) Soft hands, athletic footwork, clean exchange. Athletic.  Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. 

Arm: 85 mph outfield velocity. Quick arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Pitching: Athletic. Up-tempo delivery, some effort. High ¾ arm angle, consistent arm speed, consistent arm action. Consistent balance point, in line shoulders, lands square, an athletic finish.

FB: (Max spin 2414;  Avg 2298). Around the zone accuracy, running action. 

CB: Around the zone command, sweeping action. 

CH: Very consistent control, sinking action, tight movement. 

5-foot-11, 175-pound, average athletic frame, sloped shoulders, strength throughout and put together well. Currently a two-way player, performed well on both sides of the field. At the plate, wider setup, slightly open stance, loose relaxed hands at the shoulders, tilted bat, good loaded position. The approach is more backside to opposite field, shows good pop to the right center field gap. Also showed pull pop later in the round, had a tee exit velocity of 76 mph and ran a 7.53 sixty-yard dash. Defensively from the outfield, shows to have a big arm, clocked at 82 mph. The feet are clean during the transfer, gains ground. Off the mound, arm works out of a 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot. Shows good extension on release. The fastball was clocked at 76 mph. The curveball, was thrown with some velocity, clocked at 66-68 mph.  Showed feel for the change up, clocked at 69- 70 mph. Time will tell which way he will go.

15-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and infielder. Ran a 8.2 sixty at the event. The approach in the outfield is appropriate and he is direct to the ball. Threw 77 mph from right-field to the plate. Threw 64 mph in the infield as well. The prep steps need to be cleaned up and incorporated into the fielding process. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 72 mph. The setup is even in base, front foot slightly open to start. Uses a knee to knee approach on the bottom half. The swing is tied up, needs to loosen up the hands and let them work. Cuts off finish after contact.

JUNIOR FUTURES
5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and pitcher. Ran a 8.25 sixty on the laser at the event. Threw 75 mph from the outfield to home plate, the approach is appropriate. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 74 mph. The setup is even in base, uses a knee to knee timing mechanism on the bottom half as the ball approaches. The hands work freely, the bat path is slightly uphill. On the mound, the arm is clean, above 3/4 in slot. The feet are online, the tracking of the front shoulder needs to be online. The glove has a small amount of pull to it, causing the head to lean. The fastball touched 78 mph. The spin pitch is 60-64 mph and the changeup showed at 61-64 mph.
