Luke Maltacea: C/2B, (2025) Noble & Greenough, MA. 5-foot-9, 172-pound athletic solid frame. Confident and projectable at the plate, Maltacea had an exit velocity of 90 mph. (64.1 mph bat speed average). (19.4 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then used a toe tap stride. Had a loose simple swing plane, developing,  above average bat speed and good extension on his finish. Through the round he found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. While catching, throw downs to second were maxed at 74 mph; has developing athletic feet, a natural clean transfer, and soft hands. He had a pop time of 2.00-2.08. Clean setup. Had a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.63.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Athletic and above average during batting practice, Maltacea displayed an exit velocity of 90 mph, 3rd Best EV of the day. (67.0 mph bat speed average). (20.7 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed is developing, exhibits an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. While catching, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 75 mph; has a clean developing transfer, developing athletic feet, and soft developing hands. he produced a pop time of 2.02-2.07. Clean setup. Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a high ¾ slot and a loose arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.64.

(65.1 mph bat speed average). (20.2 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then used a small stride. Had developing bat speed, simple loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found some barrels with loud contact. Line drive approach. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 72 mph. Behind the plate, he produced a position velocity of 67 mph during throw downs; showed developing consistent feet, soft sure hands, and a clean natural transfer. had a pop time of 2.06-2.10. Clean athletic setup. Used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag.

Luke Maltacea: C/2B, (2024) St. John’s Prep, MA. 5-foot-8, 155-pound lean slim frame. Projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 82 mph. (62.33 mph bat speed average). (21.86 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then used a closed stride. Bat speed is quick developing, displays a flat loose swing plane and level finish. Created loud contact and found some barrels. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, he recorded a position velocity of 71 mph during throw downs; showed a clean exchange, soft developing hands, and athletic consistent feet. He produced a pop time of 2.04-2.11. Athletic calm setup with some flexibility. Had a high ¾ slot with a loose short arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.28 at the event.

Body: 5-foot-8, 155-pound lean slim frame.

Hit: (RHH) Projectable. Began in a balanced wide stance with a small load, then used a closed stride. Quick developing bat speed. Level finish, flat loose swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 82 mph exit velocity, average 73.30 mph. 62.33 mph bat speed average. 21.86 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 2.04-2.11 pop times. Soft developing hands, athletic consistent footwork, clean exchange. Projectable. Athletic calm setup with some flexibility. 

Arm: 71 mph catcher velocity. Loose short arm action, high ¾ slot. 

Speed: 7.28 (60-yard).

5-foot-8, 135-pound right-handed hitting catcher and infielder. He ran a 8.25 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish defensively is good. He receives softly and the transfer is appropriate. He threw 65 mph with a pop time of 2.13. `In the infield, the approach needs tweaking as the feet have to get active during the process to aid the fielding and throwing of the baseball. He threw 70 mph across the diamond. The bat has an exit velocity of 76 mph, as strength gains are warranted.  The setup is wide in base and he displayed a toe tap as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is flat to contact and he showed an even finish. 

Exit Velocity- 76 mph

Catching Velocity- 65 mph

Pop Time - 2.13

INF Velocity- 70 mph

5-foot-8, 130-pound right-handed hitting catcher and infielder. He is developing appropriately. Ran a 8.13 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is coming along, framing and securing the catch can improve as he matures in age. Threw 65 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.1. Also, worked out in the infield. The feet work and the hands are soft, threw 67 mph during the infield portion of the workout. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 77 mph. The setup is wide in base, small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is long to contact. 

Exit Velocity - 77 mph

Catching Velocity -65 mph

Pop Time- 2.1

INF Velocity- 67 mph

5-foot-4, 122-pound right-handed hitting second baseman and catcher. During the infield portion of the workout, he threw 60 mph across the diamond. Behind the dish, threw 62 mph. Showed soft hands while receiving the pitches. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 66 mph. The setup is wide in base, front foot open to start. Uses a small pick up and put down of the front foot as the swing is produced. The hands are quick and clean. The skill set is very good at his age. On the mound, the fastball sat 61-63 mph. The delivery is online with the feet and slot is above 3/4. The direction to the plate is excellent and he repeats an athletic delivery. 

Tee Exit Velocity- 66 mph

INF Velocity- 60 mph

Catching Velocity- 62 mph
