Positional Profile: LHP/OF
Body: 5’10”, 170 pounds. Athletic
Hit: LHH. Hits from a balanced, square stance from the left side. Small leg kick load with good hand separation. Stays behind the ball with a longer, uphill swing path. Maintains balance throughout, generating some lower half involvement and gets good extension past contact finishing swing with two hands. Worked mostly middle to pull side during BP.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity from the tee. Power to the pull side with more developing.
Arm: LH. OF - 78 mph. Throws with short arm action from a mid to high three quarter slot.
Defense: Plays through the ball in the outfield and fields it out in front on the glove hand side. Showed clean exchanges with quick, fundamental footwork.
Run: 4.43 home-to-first time.
Delivery: Starts with a controlled, side rocker step into a chest high leg kick. Arm works well with the body. Hand separation is on time and fluid. Generates ok drive off of his back leg and gets down the hill well. Ends in athletic fielding position.
Arm Action: LH. Throws downhill out of a high three-quarter arm slot.
FB: T76 mph, 72-74 mph. Not much action.
CB: 59-62 mph. Slows body down, 12/6 shape.
CH: 63-64 mph.
2019 Diamondskills All-American Camp 1/19/2019
5-foot-9, 160-pound solid compact frame. Upright stance with small pick up to stride landing on line with balance. Hands load back and drop slightly before moving through the zone. Bat path is short and flat and stays through extension. Exit velo was 77 mph. Feet are short and active into the catch. Hands are soft on reception, clean exchange, long arm action, and throws from a high three-quarter at 69 mph. Ran the 60 in 7.50. On the mound delivery is fluid to a strong balance point gathered over the rubber. Lands on line, rotates around the front leg as glove and head fall off slightly to 3B side. Throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with average arm speed. Fastball sat at 67-69 mph and showed ability to throw it to both sides of the plate. Changeup was 58-60 mph and showed feel for it, consistently keeping it down in the zone.
