3.17.16 - George Washington recruit Charles Tsintolas looks to have filled out his frame more and has gotten stronger at the plate. Hits from an athletic set up with a leg kick in load. Got out of balance at times but has a strong swing and shows gap-to-gap ability. Very quick exchange and release behind the plate with in-between inning pop times ranging 2.02-2.07. soft hands and receives well behind the plate.
7.20.15 - GW commit Charles Tsintolas had a 2.09 pop throwing out a would be base stealer.
5.8.15 - +2016 Charles Tsintolas may be one of the top defensive catchers in the state. Works hard behind the dish with good feet and a very quick exchange and release. In between inning pop times ranged from 1.96 – 2.02. Offensively hits from a balanced set up with short path to the ball.
2.22.15 Hit from a couched and balanced stance. Arm barred during load. Short toe to heel stride. Lower half exploded to the ball. Maintained good balance throughout swing. Displayed fast hands with an Exit Velocity of 84 mph. Swing path was short with good extension that worked uphill. Line drive stroke that should find the gaps. Showed signs of potential pull power. Behind the plate, threw from a high ¾ arm slot. Quick release. Pop times were 1.89 - 2.02. Throws had carry and some accuracy. Footwork was quick and gained ground to second. Great setup that was athletic. Showed soft hands with good receiving skills.
