Herndon-Brown has a projectable athletic frame with strength present and room to add more as he develops. He throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, very short, very quick loose arm action, normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery with shoulders uphill and closed, hides the ball and creates some deception. Showed real feel for his arsenal and how to make a baseball move. Fastball was 83-87 with late hard armside run and a bit of riding action to it. Showed three offspeed pitches, a curveball that was 67-68 with sharp 1/7 break, a slider with tighter later sharp 2/8 break that was 72, and a splitter that was 72-75 with heavy hard two-plane dive and good armspeed. Showed ability to command the pitches to all parts of the zone.
