Consistently gets barrel on the ball. gap-to-gap type hitter with pull side pop. Shows off strength with 92 mph exit velocity. Active feet in infield, with clean hands and good exchange. throws are accurate across the diamond. Raw behind plate and quiet reciever, sticks ball well. Clean exchange behind the plate that is quick with a short arm action. Pop time as low as 1.99.

3.21.16 - 2017 Nick Vermillion went 2-for-2 in the game using the middle of the field well. Has a level swing path with bat speed in his strong linebacker frame at 5-foot-10, 230-pounds. Is a primary catcher but has played third for Spalding with Carter Sears behind the plate. Confident first step, but could continue to work on overall foot speed.

Good hip control and athletic behind plate. Catcher velocity of 74 mph with a pop time as low as 2.02.  Plays linebacker for football team and strong instincts along with first step quickness. Has soft hands in the infield at third base short arm action from high ¾ arm angle. Soft hands, lets ball get close to body at times. Interesting prospect in 2017 class.
5.19.15 - 2017 Nick Vermillion is a third baseman with a strong and solid build. Hits from a balanced stance with simple approach.  Creates quick bat speed and shows strength with gap pop. Also plays football. Strength and agility makes for an interesting prospect. Makes accurate reads and take proper angle defensively.  Also is a catcher.  Accurate throws. A sophomore prospect to keep an eye on.
