Top Uncommitted 2017 Infielders

With the 2015-2016 high school sports season as well as fall ball getting underway, PBR Maryland will take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects from the 2016 and 2017 class at each position. 

+2017:   LHP   RHP   OF    CATCHER   INFIELDERS     

Now at the halfway point in this fall release we shift to the 2017 class. The fall is an important time for rising juniors to be sure to get their name out as a player to watch for the upcoming high school season. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week, as you can see by our 2017 Rankings there are numerous talented prospect still available.

Abraham Mow 3B Milford (DE)

7.7.15 - Athletic frame at 5-foot-10 165-pounds with room to add strength. Hits from a balanced, slightly open set up. Has a smooth load with a short stride.  Could increase usage of lower half.  Has good balance in his swing.  A short, level path to the ball with quick bat speed. Stays in middle of field well.  Nice rhythm swing.  Shows potential pop with 88 mph exit velocity.  Has a loose arm action from a high ¾ arm slot.  Throws were consistent with carry across the infield at 80 mph.  Fluid footwork and soft hands with a clean exchange.

6.30.15 - Long athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 175-pounds. Hits from a slightly open and tall set up with a smooth load and good balance after short stride. Short bat path with some bat speed and pull side power potential.  Gap-to-gap style hitter. Stays inside the ball. Sound footwork in the middle with a clean exchange.  Longer arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle.  Throws were accurate and consistent and had a velocity of 77 mph across the diamond.  Ran a 7.30 60-yard dash and had an exit velocity of 85 mph.

7.7.15 - Athletic frame at 5-foot-11 165-pounds.  Athletic third baseman that could also play a middle position.  Quick and active feet with soft hands and a fluid and quick exchange. Loose arm action throwing from a ¾ arm angle. Throws have some carry on them across the diamond and were accurate at 79 mph. Plays thru the ball. Hits from a slightly open setup with a short stride. Level swing path with quick bat speed and extension through contact. Gap-to-gap type hitter. Runs a 7.02 60-yard dash and an exit velocity of 84 mph

Solid frame at 5-foot-10 170-pounds. Has a short arm action from a high ¾ arm slot with accurate throws at 75 mph. Throws had some carry on them across the infield. Fluid footwork and a clean exchange. Hits from a balanced and compact setup at the plate. Short stride that is slightly closed. Balance in swing with quick bat speed and a short path to the ball. Gap-to-gap type hitter. Creates havoc on the base paths. Shows great first step quickness. Had an exit velocity of 82 mph. Ran a 6.87 60-yard dash.

Athletic frame at 5-foot-10 165-pounds. Hits from an athletic and balanced set up. Rhythm in load with a short stride.  Quick bat speed with a level path and some extension through contact.  Gets lower half involvement. Active feet from the middle. Has a short arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Throws were accurate and consistent with a velocity of 77 mph.  Soft and quick hands with a quick exchange getting rid of the baseball. Ran a 7.47 and had an exit velocity of 84 mph.
