Strong, projectable frame. Started the gam on the bump for the Cavaliers working three and two-thirds innings allowing four runs (one earned), on four hits, two walks, and struck out eight in the ballgame. Fastball sat 89-91 mph and mixed in a breaking ball and change-up. Breaking ball was 75-78 mph with 11/5 shape and a 2000-2100 spin rate. Power change sat 83-84 mph. Was able to repetitively come up with big strikeouts in key situations to limit some damage. Works downhill and showed really quick arm speed through release. Loose arm and throws from a low to mid three quarters slot with light effort. Lands square to the plate and gets over front side well.

Athletic, solid body type and projectable 6-foot-1, 180 pound frame. Hits from a balanced, athletic, open stance with a wide base at the plate. Small leg kick for rhythm and timing. Stays behind the ball well with some lower half involvement and quick hands. Short, level swing path with an exit velo of 82 mph. Gap-to-gap type hitter with some power. Athletic and plays through the ball in the outfield with fluid footwork and a quick, clean exchange. Long arm action throwing from a high three-quarter slot with some carry at 85 mph. Ran a 5.01 home-to-first time. Up-tempo side-step wind-up and delivery. Gets to a taller, compact balance point with clean hand separation. Generates some lower half drive and creates quick arm speed through release. Long, loose arm action throwing from a high three-quarter slot with light effort. Lands slightly open with an athletic finish. Showed the ability to command all three pitches well. Fastball touched 87 mph and sat 85-86 mph. Breaking ball had tight spin and sharp 11/5 shape at 75-77 mph. Change-up showed slight dive at 75 mph.

API Scout Day

Athletic projectable frame at 6-foot-1, 180-pounds. Hits from an athletic, slightly open set up at the plate. Short rock back load with big leg kick generating power. Has a shorter swing path keeping his hands inside the ball with average bat speed. Gets extension through contact with middle approach. Gets some lower half involvement and has average balance now, though should get better. Exit velo of 71 mph with. Sound footwork and hands around the bag at first base, quicker release throwing from a lower slot. 70 mph position velocity. ---- On the mound has a quick tempo with compact delivery buidling up momentum. Average leg kick working down to out and does get a bit of backside drive and involvement from lower, half, although more is there. Sound arm action throwing from a high three quarter slot. Pitcher with regular effort and ball comes out well for a 2021 at this time. Fastball had slight run to the pitch at 81 mph. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with some depth to the pitch and potential at 71 mph. Changeup shows fade and dive to the pitch at 75 mph. Interesting mound prospect that looks to have more in the tank. Solid overall young prospect, will be one to keep an eye on as he develops.
