Preseason All-State Session III

Positional Profile: RHP/2B
Body: 6’3”, 185 pounds. Strong, athletic, projectable frame.
Hit: RHH. Hits from a balanced, square stance at the plate. Smooth back load and short stride. Creates some hand separation. Short to the ball with an uphill swing path. Showed quick hands and fast bat speed through the zone. Generates some lower half involvement and gets extension past contact. Finishes swing strong with two hands. Worked mostly middle to the pull side during BP.
Power: 90 mph exit velocity from the tee. Power to the pull-side with more projected.
Arm: RH, INF - 82 mph. Throws with longer arm action from a mid three-quarter slot. Ball showed carry across the diamond.
Defense: Works through the ball and fields it out in front from an athletic base. Showed range and ability to throw from various other arm slots depending on the play. Clean, athletic double play exchange and feed.
Run: 4.46 home-to-first time.

MD Preseason All State

Long projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 165-pounds. Hits from the right side with an athletic square stance. Has a toe tap back to striding forward landing closed. Level line drive bat path that is pull-side dominant. Finishes the lower half with some aggression and posted an exit velocity of 83 mph. Feet were active on approach to ground balls in the infield. Posture is high and catches the ball a little deep with a clean double rhythm tap exchange. Average arm circle and showed some arm speed throwing from a three-quarter slot at 79 mph. Home-to-first time was 4.58.  Worked primarily out of the stretch starting closed. Strong balance point over the rubber with solid flexion in the back leg. Down and out delivery with slight elevation in the shoulders and lands on line. Short arm action with above average arm speed from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat at 77-78 and topped out at 81 mph. Curveball showed depth with a sharp 11/5 break at 65-67 mph. Had solid feel for the changeup with present arm speed and late arm side fade.
