Pull side approach. Smooth recorded an outfield position velocity of 80 mph; has consistent feet, sure hands, and a natural clean exchange. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.35. Pitching: On the mound has a long lean frame steps right with a toe tap pivot showing a letter high balance point throwing with arm side run. At times showed cut action on the pitch. Fastball sat 69-74 mph. Showed a late break on his curve 60-61 mph. Change up was down in the zone sitting 65-67 mph change up.
Hitting: At the plate sets up with an open stance bouncing the bat off his shoulder. Gets his hands through the zone quickly making hard contact with a line drive approach.
Pitching: On the bump a LHP worked at a moderate pace cruising through his inning of work. Begins with a narrow set up taking a step moving to his balance point working the strikezone. Lots of late life on his pitches as he fills up the strike zone. Showed a two pitch mix.
