Kelley has an athletic 6-foot-2, 210-pound frame. He has a tall stance with his hands back. He uses a leg kick with his rhythm and shows good bat speed. His exit velocity was 89 mph and he ran a 6.75 60-yard dash. In the outfield, he has a good first step and takes good angles. His velocity from the outfield was 85 mph. On the mound, he has some funk to his delivery and has a quick arm from a high-3/4 arm slot. His fastball shows run at times and shows cut at times as it sat 86-88 mph and topped out at 89 mph. His curveball had 1/7 break to it and was sharp with good depth at 73-74 mph. His slider sat at 78-79 mph and had late, sharp 2/8 break. His changeup sat 74-75 mph and had good downhill action.
6/18/13 Kelley had a good showing at Top Prospect Games. He sat primarily between 79-83mph. His arm worked quick. He did struggle with command a bit but overcame it in his two innings of work. His breaking ball showed some tilt and bite although he did leave it armside a bit. Certainly has upside at 6-foot-1, 170-pounds. Time on his side.
