Pitching: On the mound has a slower wind up taking a step left moving to his balance point throwing with fast arm. Ball is easy out the hand. One of the better three pitch mixes on the day. Fastball shows a heavy feel down in the zone. Change up has arm side movement and a sharp breaking curve that would definitely produce swing and misses.
6/19/19
Hitting: Sets up with a tall open stance from the left side of the plate, has fast hands and raw power. Pull hitter that does not get cheated at the plate. Ball jumps off his bat. Has patience but explodes on the balls in his wheel house.
2/16/19
Mechanics: Wide step left using a toe tap pivot, putting his weight on his back leg exploding towards the plate throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Fastball: Max effort pitch with a late grunt throwing it. Sat 82-83 mph. Curve: Hard breaking pitch with an 11/5 drop 65-66 mph. Change up: Thrown with similar arm speed as the fastball 72-73 mph showing arm side run. Fielding: Calm approach in the field moves well around the 3B. Has a feel for the position, throws across the diamond 83 mph. Swing: Sets up with an open stance and wide base. Keeps hands back as he raises his front leg turning inward, swinging with a hard cut on a longer swing path. Showed the ability to crush the baseball with continuous hard contact working the pull side and up the middle. 95 mph exit velocity.
