Good footwork and a strong arm from the OF. Fields the ball out infront of his body. Wide stance with short leg kick. Smooth swing and a good bat path through the zone resulting in loud contact all over the field.
Chase Thornton: OF/RHP, (2025) Dakota, MI. 6-foot, 150-pound. (65.4 mph bat speed average). (22.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a wide active stance with a quick load, then uses a short controlled stride. Barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Fluid confident from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 77 mph; showed consistent rhythmic feet, consistent soft hands, and a developing natural exchange. Fields the ball to the side, movements laterally were average. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.84. Solid on the mound, showed a high ¾ arm angle and a moderate arm action with some arm speed. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher and shows decent effort. Tall balance point with even in line shoulders.
