5-foot-11, 190 pound strong built catching prospect. Receives with one hand getting rid of the ball quickly throwing down to 2B. Blocks well keeping the ball in front. At 3B stands tall, working down to field the ball and throws from a high position over the top. At the plate has fast hands. Starts in a tall open stance stepping towards the pitcher using a long swing gets around the ball pulling it. Has good power as the ball jumps.

Allen is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound strong built catching prospect. He’s toned up his body a lot since the last time we’ve seen him. At the plate he stands tall with an open stance. Holding his hands chest high in a good loaded position he strides with his front leg taking an aggressive swing. Crushed pitch after pitch during BP. 89 mph exit velocity. Receives well behind the plate with a quick release down to 2B. Pop time ranged 1.94-2.03.

Allen is a 5-foot-11, 190-pound prospect with broad shoulders. He stands upright and narrow while using a knee pinch with his load. He displayed a short, uphill swing with quick wrists. His exit velocity was 87 mph and he ran a 4.57 home-to-1st. In the outfield, he has a controlled tempo to the ball and fields it out front. His velocity from the outfield was 72 mph.

Allen has a 5-foot-10, 185-pound build. He stands upright with a slight crouch in his lower half and low hands. He uses a slight leg kick with his load and has an uphill plane to his swing with some raw power. His exit velocity was 83 mph and he ran a 4.33 home-to-1st. Behind the plate, he shows good fundamentals with his footwork and a smooth transfer. His pop times were 2.01-2.16 with a position velocity of 73 mph.
