6-foot-2, 190 pound switch hitting catching prospect committed to Texas Tech. One of the top players in the 2018 class 126 overall in the class. Behind the plate receives with one hand and has a very quick release throwing from the ear. Has a strong throwing arm. In the infield moves through the ball catching it out front throwing with a short arm across the infield. At the plate on the right hand side uses an open stance with elevated hands. Loads in rhythm swinging effortlessly making hard contact. Has the same stance on the left side using a smooth swing with the ball jumping off his bat.

Minzey is a 6-foot-2, 185 pound switch hitting catching prospect. Minzey handles the bat well on both sides of the plate with more power on the right. On the right used a tall open stance, with a long swing that produces deep shots and line drives. On the left he uses a balanced stance with a small step load to drive the ball up the middle and to the pull side. 83 mph exit velocity on the right side and 88 mph exit velocity on the left. Behind the plate showed quick feet and a strong throwing arm. 80 mph catching velocity and 2.08-2.15 pop time. Corner OF with an accurate throwing arm. 82 mph OF velocity.
