Matthew Whiteman: LHP/1B, (2024) Romeo, MI. 6-foot-1, 197-pound. During batting practice, Whiteman's best exit velocity was 85 mph. Bat speed was some, showed a long swing plane and high finish. During the round he showed some loud contact. Line drive approach. In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 75 mph. On the mound, showed consistent arm speed with a ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Used some effort in his delivery. Falling off shoulders with a consistent balance point. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Changeup (64-66 mph).Threw his fastball 73-74 mph and topped out at 75 mph; had arm side command and running action. Throws a 1/7 curveball (61-64) with late action and low in the zone control.
