Hitting: Athletic built prospect has fast hands at the plate making solid contact. Driving balls deep into the field. Shows a good feel for the barrel. During game play turned on a fastball crushing a solo shot homerun to RF.  In his last at bat on the day turned on an inside fastball to hit a no doubt homerun over the RF fence that cleared the fence by 30 ft. 
Pitching: On the mound sets up with a narrow set up on the mound. Works to his waist high leg lift throwing with a fast arm. Has a short arm action. Fastball has a cut action 80-81 mph. Sweeping curve thrown for a strike 63-66 mph and 70-71 mph change up.

6-foot, 170 pound athletic prospect showed his two way prowess at the top event of the winter. At the plate set up with a balanced stance using a front leg stride while displaying a compact cut. Ball jumped off his bat, showing gap to gap ability and potential power potential. In the OF moves to the ball well throwing with good carry on the ball. On the mound works with a controlled pace working to his waist high balance pint each time. Fastball sat 80-83 mph with an easy arm action. Sharp breaking 66-69 mph curve. Sinking change up 70-71 mph and a late breaking slider 63-64 mph.

6-foot, 165 pound two way prospect had a strong showing at the Future Games Trials. On the mound showed an easy motion on the mound moving to a high leg lift. Fastball sat 80-84 mph. Sharp breaking curve 67-69 mph. Change-up with good deception 73-74 mph. Shows action a good drop on the fastball. Ball explodes out his hand. In the OF has an advanced approach moving through the ball and throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. At the plate uses an open stance with a slight crouch. Steps into his swing making hard contact at the plate. Has fast hands, keeps his hands inside the baseball.

11/05/16

Olsen a 6-foot, 157 showed physical development in his body since the summer. Olsen throws Right and hits from the left side proving to be perhaps the top two way prospect on the day. Hit from a slight open stance in crouched position holding his hands letter high. Took a nice stride while swinging with on a slight uphill path. Made solid contact consistently at the plate 83 mph exit velocity. Showed quick twitch muscles while in the OF throwing 81 mph. On the mound has polished motion while throwing from a high 3/4 arm angle. Ball explodes out his hand 76-79 mph on the fastball, sharp breaking 56 mph curve and fading 59-61 mph change up.

7/12/16

5-foot-11, 150-pound athletic frame was one of the most polished hitters we saw on the day. Left-handed hitter used an athletic stance using a slight crouch he barreled balls consistently driving balls to the pull side and gap. Also drove a homerun out of RF during game play.
