+ OF/1B Payton Mansfield (Fremont (MI), 2021) stands in a hard-to-miss frame at 6-foot-3, 230-pounds with clear strength throughout his frame. Another right-handed bat that’s sure to be a middle of the lineup producer for the Blazers, Mansfield was named First Team All-American last season after posting a .433 batting average with 24 home runs and 74 RBIs. Delivering missile after missile during BP, Mansfield was consistently on the barrel throughout his round (100% hard hit), peppering baseballs 100+ mph throughout the round. His hardest hit ball of the day was blasted at 105.1 mph  with a max batted distance of 407’. Mansfield’s bat speed was well above average at 77.6 mph (avg.) and 83.9 mph (max). From the outfield, he showed a strong arm with his hardest bullet at 85 mph on his throws to home.

Pitching: On the mound goes right at hitters with an aggressive demeanor on the bump. Powers the ball down in the zone with a heavy feel  to his fastball. Hides the ball well and fills up the zone with strikes. Showed a two pitch mix showing the curve keeping hitters off balance. 

Hitting: At the plate has some power that he was able to translate during game play. Hard contact during the game smashing a double to the CF wall.

Payton Mansfield: C/RHP, (2021) Fremont, MI. 6-foot-1, 220-pound. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 98 mph. While catching, he had a pop time of 2.07-2.10, throw downs to second topped out at 74 mph. In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 77 mph. Clocked a time of 7.39 in the 60-yard dash. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 80-83 mph with a max of 83 mph. Curveball (66-68 mph).
