6/19/13 Carey may not throw the hardest but he has some of the best pitchability in the class. A good competitor who fills up the strike zone.  Has competed and won at a high level.  Should jump a bit in velocity.  Arm works from High ¾ slot.  Crossfire delivery adds to deception.  Feel for all three pitches.
6/12/13 Carey is a high pitchability RHP.  Not a hard thrower at this point Carey pound the strike zone with three pitches.  Works from a H3/4 slot.  His change has continued to get better.  Kept it down in the zone and occasionally had some cut to it.

6/20/12 Only a sophomore, Carey posseses the ability to pound the strike zone. He demonstrated three pitches with his change up being the best of all o them. His breaking ball is more of a slider than a curve with occasional bite. He topped out at 81 but also lived 80-81. His change has good arm side run and downward fade.
