6-foot-6, 190-pound right-handed pitcher. Larson oozes potential on mound. Extremely long loose arm and at times is lightning quick. Has body control and can play catch to the glove with his fastball as well as anyone in the state. Very athletic- starting high school quarterback- Larson is just beginning to scratch the surface of his ability on mound. Fastball was thrown at 84-86 mph and it’s easy to dream on it being upper 80’s- low 90’s once he continues to mature physically. Curveball showed plus tilt; struggled at times with release point. Changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed. Will make moves up the rankings from current spot at #32.
6-foot-6, 190-pound right-handed pitcher. Long lanky build. Larson has a chance to move himself into the upper echelon of arms in Minnesota by the end of the Spring. Athletic in his delivery. His arm works very well and is long and loose. Fastball shows life and comes out of his hand very well at 80-83 mph. Downhill plane to fastball. Just coming out of basketball; about 75% right now. Has shown good feel for secondary in previous event. Struggled with release point at times. Breaking ball 12/6 shape with flashes of tight rotation. Huge projection. Once he begins to mature and add strength; easy to dream on him being low 90’s, athletic on mound, with feel and ability to throw 3 pitches for quality strikes.
6-foot-6, 190-pound right-handed pitcher. Tall, lean, projectable body. Shows upper echelon athleticism on the mound. Middle of basketball season; arm isn’t in top form yet. Good body control and will benefit from added weight and strength. Arm is long and works well. Throws three pitches for strikes easily and has feel for zone. High Follow for spring/summer of 2015. Has chance to make big jumps.
