Luna is a 5-foot-11, 155-pound, right-handed hitting outfielder in Missour’s 2021 class out of Dora HS. At the event, he ran a 7.22 second 60 and 4.65 home-to-first. At the plate, 81 mph exit velocity, pre-pitch rhythm to swing, in line stride, aggressive with back hip, remains balanced throughout swing, works to get extension through the baseball, showed above average pop and line drive contact to center and left field during batting practice. Defensively, aggressive to the baseball, showed closing speed, clean transfers, high three-quarter release, positional velo 77 mph, fairly accurate throws.

Luna is an athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound, right-handed hitting middle infielder and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. Luna ran a 6.95 second 60 and a 4.60 home-to-first. At the plate, posted an exit velocity of 78 mph, starts with a wider base, minimal load, slightly open stride, looks to lift at the plate, remains balanced throughout swing, showed contact primarily to center and left field during batting practice. Defensively, athletic actions, glove tap into transfer, momentum towards target, three-quarter release, throws have carry, top velocity was 80 mph across the infield, accurate throws. On the mound, Luna’s delivery has some rhythm, repeats with downhill tilt, hides the ball well, shorter arm action, high three-quarter release, effectively kept hitters off balance during game action with a three pitch mix thrown for a high percentage of strikes. Fastball was 77-78 mph, occasional arm side run, curveball is 67-69 mph, late downward action with a 11-to-5 shape, changeup is 65-66 mph, near fastball arm speed, arm side run, strikes at the bottom of the zone.

6/13/17 - Luna is a 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed hitting catcher and outfielder in Missouri’s 2021 class.  He ran a 7.59 laser timed 60 and a 4.70 home to first.  He has a 77 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced set up, short in line stride, minimal load, no wasted movement, level path through the zone, middle of the field contact during batting practice. Behind the plate, 2.29 to 2.58 pop times, 68 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, thin base in set up, fluid transfer and throw, feet creates momentum. In the outfield, 73 mph positional velo, loose high three quarters release, crow hop, fluid transfer, mostly accurate throws.
