6/6/17 - Mahurin is a 6-foot-1 175-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2018 class. Mahurin has an over the top release, throw with some effort, strong frame, works downhill, threw mainly fastball curveball, fastball at mostly 82-84 mph, changes hitters eye level effectively, sharp 11-to-5 breaking ball, late break, 68-71 mph, quick inning of work, attacking the zone and challenging hitters.
8/2/16 - Mahurin is a 6-foot 165-pound right-handed hitting catcher and third baseman in Missouri’s 2018 class.  He ran a 7.52 60 and a 4.81 home-to-first.  He has a 75 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, early in line stride, accelerated swing speed, level through the hitting zone, swing produced mostly middle of the field line drives, flashing pull power, singled to centerfield in game action.  Behind the plate, pop times between 2.02 and 2.19-seconds, one of the top times for the event, 75 mph positional velo, strong and durable frame, quick feet, over the top release with momentum through the catch, soft hands, athletic actions, accurate throws. On the infield, 78 mph positional velo, over the top release, momentum to 1B after the catch, soft hands with clean exchange, loose arm action, mostly accurate throws.

1/18/16 - Mahurin is a 5-foot-11 150-pound right-handed hitting catcher and third baseman in Missouri’s 2018 class. Mahurin starts in a tall stance at the place, smooth load with little wasted movement, level path through the zone, swing accelerates to finish, gap-to-gap approach, balanced finish, body stays under control, ran a 4.51 home-to-first with a 69 mph exit velo. Behind the plate, recorded one of the top pop-times of the event, pop times between 2.00 and 2.38, quick hands with glove-to-hand exchange, over the top release, 71 mph positional velo, momentum through the catch, quick feet, throws were mostly accurate to second base. On the infield, 71 mph positional velo, soft hands, quick catch and throw, mostly accurate throws.
