C/INF Braedan Barbee (Lee’s Summit West, 2024) showed a similar skill-set to what we had seen from him at the MO Fall Upperclass Games at this event. A strong, compact 5-foot-9, 170-pound athlete, Barbee worked the middle of the field with line drives during BP from a simple right-handed swing. He improved on his arm strength behind the plate by five ticks (73 mph) from our latest look and worked accurately from the crouch, posting a 2.02 pop time on his quickest bullet.
Body: 5-9, 170-pounds. Compact frame with strength throughout, particularly in the lower half.
Hits: RHH. Balanced setup with knee bend, slight hand waggle pre-pitch, bat tips to a vertical barrel set at load, quick toe-tap trigger. Quick hands, long uphill bat path, consistently worked up the middle with feel for the opposite field.
Power: 82 max exit velocity, averaged 77.4 MPH. 266' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-73 mph. INF-77 mph.Short arm action, high 3/4 slot. Accurate on the bag.
Defense: 2.02-2.16 pop times. Took reps on the infield and behind the plate. Active pre-pitch, feet work in rhythm, steady hands play out front of body, slight pack to release. Comfortable on the move, ranged well up the middle. Square blocker behind the plate, chests up the baseball. Quick worker from the crouch, feet work towards the glove side, clean exchange to release.

Showcases a young 5-foot-5, 140-pound frame that should continue to develop as he matures. The right handed has a wide base and athleticism in the box. Uses a quick toe-tap load to start his swing. Has a solid swing plane with slight uphill path, generating consistent line-drives and some backspin with good extension. Registered a 73 mph bat-exit velocity and ran a 7.59 60-yard dash. The primary catcher receives well with little sway and developing footwork. Made accurate throws to 2B from a short ¾ arm action at 63 mph, recording consistent 2.33 sec pop times. Has some push to release.
