2/18/18 - Santangelo is a 6-foot-one 160-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. Santangelo has an over the top release, throws with regular effort and a smooth accelerated tempo, repeats well, throws fastball for strikes at the knees with slight downhill tilt, touching 84 and working mostly 82 mph, throws breaking ball on same plane as fastball, has late and occasionally sharp 11-to-5 action, down in zone for a strike, throws change up with near fastball arm speed, 73-74 mph, throws for a strike, arm side release, slender frame and arm action would suggest increases with continued physical development to already good command of arsenal of pitches.

2/20/17 - Santangelo is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 4.75 home to first and has an exit velocity of 84 mph. At the plate, balanced stance, smooth pre swing rhythm in hands, short stride, no wasted movement, loose hands with level path, gap-to-gap line drives, flashed pull side power. In the outfield, 76 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, soft hands, fields the ball out front, feet and hands work together, in sync, loose high three quarters arm action, slender frame with projection. On the mound, Santangelo threw a high percentage of strikes with three pitches, high three quarters release, lean frame with projection, loose arm action, fastball showed slight run at 77-80 mph, 11-to-5 spin on breaking ball, early break, near fastball arm speed, 60-65 mph, more 10-to-4 action on slider, 71-72 mph, change up at 70-73 mph, flashes arm side sink, throws with smooth tempo and regular effort.

8/14/16- 6-foot, 155-pound two- way player ran a 7.2 60 yard sprint. Athletic build, wide shoulders. At the plate, square stance, high hands, leg kick triggers long swing plane. Posted an exit velocity of 81 mph off a tee. In the field, has active footwork, funnels the ball through his body working through the ball. Feet have a tendency to stop at fielding position. Threw across at 76 mph. On the mound, topped out at 79 mph with his fastball.  Repeats mechanics, short on the back side and long out front. 65-68 mph breaking ball has slider tilt. 70-72 mph changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed and running action to his arm side.

2/14/16 - Class of 2019. Santangelo is a right-handed pitcher that attends Chaminade HS in St. Louis, MO. Thin, athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame. Under control early, works to tall balance point, three-quarters slot, athletic delivery with rhythm. Arm works. Fastball 75-78 mph, some arm-side run. Breaking ball 64-68 mph, sharp at times. Change-up with arm-side run, 70-72 mph. Showed feel for all three pitches.
