RHP Cole Evans (Timberland, 2023) was another arm that threw two clean innings of work, punching out a handful of batters en route to a scoreless outing. At 6-foot-1, 170-pounds, Evans generates natural run and sink on his fastball from a ¾ slot, pounding the bottom of the zone at 80-82 mph. He effectively spun a high-60s slider off his fastball’s plane for strikes, especially to the arm-side of the plate, and also mixed in a low spin changeup at 73-76 mph.
RHP Cole Evans (Timberland, 2023) recently attended the GBA Scout Day in late May and he looked the part at Wednesday’s event, too. Evans pumped his low-spin, heavy fastball in at 81-83 mph from a deceptive ¾ arm slot, working east-to-west and around the zone. He threw a 68-69 mph slider for strikes on a consistent basis, and averaged 13 inches of horizontal movement on his high-60s changeup while effectively limiting spin.

Body: 6-1, 160-pounds.
Delivery: Tall and fall delivery. Drop and drive lower half. Works in line with target. Falls off to the first base side at times.
Arm Action: RH. Long, loose arm action. Works from a 3/4 slot.
FB: T82.9, 81.2-82.7 mph. Plays with running and sinking action. T1822, 1700 average rpm.
CB: 65.8-67.0 mph. 11/5 shape. Around the zone. T1701, 1658 average rpm.
SL: 68.9-69.4 mph. 10/4 shape. Lateral action at times. T1873, 1858 average rpm.
CH: 68.7-70.0 mph. Fading action to the arm side. T1487, 1252 average rpm.
