11/4/17 - Lankford is a lean and athletic 5-foot-10 155-pond left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.33 60 and a 4.49 home to first.  He has an 84 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, slightly closed stride, repeatable and simple, controlled load, accelerated swing, loose hands, level path, gap to gap line drives during hitting evaluations, showed feel for the barrel.  In the outfield, 78 mph positional velo, athletic actions, fluid footwork on time with exchange, momentum through the catch, over the top arm slot, loose arm action, throws are mostly accurate with carry. On the mound, Lankford has a compact delivery, repeats, over the top release, works downhill with tilt, leg lifts straight up, arm works, smooth tempo in delivery, fastball 80-81 mph, late running action, good fastball command, 12-to-6 breaking ball, 50-61 mph, down in zone, throws for strike, throws change up with near fastball arm speed, 67-69 mph.

At the plate, tall and thin stance, attacks ball, loose hands, level path, showed power to pull side, controlled body.  In the outfield, 76 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, takes route behind the ball, create momentum with small crow hop after catch, fluid transfer, mostly accurate throws. Singled to right-field in game action. On the mound, Lankford has an athletic frame, ball comes out of ear with over the top release, some and repeatable delivery, smooth acceleration, works downhill, quick and loose arm action, fastball at 75-77 mph, some with late running action, breaking ball has 12-to-6 shape, tight spin, some with late break.

10/23/16 - Lankford is a 5-foot-8 135-pound left-handed hitting outfielder and left-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class.  He ran a 7.39 60 and a 4.92 home-to-first.  He has a 77 mph exit velo. At the plate, tall and open stance, short and controlled stride, loose hands, quick bat speed, feel for the barrel, consistent solid line drive to middle and pull side of field during batting practice, had a pair of singles to both gaps in game action.  In the outfield, 79 mph positional velo, one of the top velos among outfielders, over the top arm slot, long and loose arm action, momentum through the catch, fluid transfer, throws with back spin, mostly accurate. On the mound, Lankford worked 73-75 mph with fastball, some with arm side run, showed a 1-to-7 breaking ball 62-64 mph, gradual break, controllable change-up at 64-65 mph, flashed arm side sink, loose arm action with projectable frame, slight tuck at balance point, in line stride.
