2/10/18 - Lopez is a solid 6-foot-1 200-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2019 class. He ran a 7.77 60 and has an 85 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, thin base, quiet set up and load with no wasted movements, swing produced mostly middle to pull side line drives, occasional power.  On the infield, 83 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, exchange and feet work in sync, clean transfer, feet create momentum through the catch, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Lopez comes from an over the top arm slot, loose arm action, controlled leg lift, accelerates in line down the mound, smooth tempo, fastball is heavy, thrown downhill, 85-89 mph, touched 90 mph, breaking ball has 11-to-5 shape, sharp and late break, can throw for strike, 72-73 mph, throws change up with fastball arm speed, 80-82 mph, controls for a strike, some with sink.
2/14/16 - Class of 2019 right-handed pitcher. Lopez attends Fort Zumwalt South HS in St. Peters, MO. Strong 6-foot, 185-pound frame. Efficient delivery with limited moving parts. Clean, quick arm action, three-quarters slot. Repeats delivery. Fastball with mostly arm-side run, occasional sinking action down, 82-84 mph (86 tops), strikes. Breaking ball with 11/5 shape, 64-67 mph. Change-up, 74-75 mph.  Strong follow in the Missouri class of 2019.
1/31/16 - Lopez is a 6-foot, 190-pound 2019 grad from Fort Zumwalt South HS in O’Fallon, Missouri. On the mound, Lopez has a solid, athletic frame and displays average to quick arm action coming from his high ¾ arm slot as well as showing the ability to repeat his delivery. His fastball ranged from 78-81 mph and showed command of his arm side of the plate. Lopez had command to his change-up and was 71-73 mph. The Curveball was 62-68 mph and showed some late action when located down in the zone. At the plate, athletic set up, minimal load, short stride, quick and loose hands, uses mostly middle of the field.  On the infield, high three quarters release, moves to ball well, fluid footwork, clean transfer, 78 mph positional velo, accurate throws. Behind the plate, pop times between 2.19 and 2.46, some of the best times for the event, 77 mph positional velo, one of the best of the day, high three quarters release, fluid catch and throw, accurate throws.
